Picnic and Pop-up Playground
Come along to The Marina Park (see map below) on Sunday 5th May for a picnic and a Pop-up Playground! Loads of great toys, games to play and fun for all the family!!
There is no parking along the Marina so why not take this opportunity to walk, cycle or scoot your way down to us – much better for the environment too! The nearest parking is at Blackrock Village, Ursulines Convent, and Páirc Uí Chaoimh (Marina side).
We are looking forward to seeing you all there for great afternoon of community fun. Admission is FREE so bring the whole family with a picnic and join in with the activities and music in the park!

Our first fundraiser was a great success – huge thanks to the local community for coming along to support the Blackrock Playground Project! Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the night: Blackrock Hurling Club for hosting, Red FM’s Dave Mac for compèring, all the generous people who donated brilliant raffle prizes, Aaron the Balloon Man, Red Penguin for the equipment and everyone else involved!
The colouring competion was a great success with Cinderella herself drawing the winners. Well done and thank you everyone who was involved and participated!
We are running a colouring competition in the junior classes of the local schools to spread the word about the Blackrock Playground Project. This fabulous picture was created by our talented team member artist Astrid Walsh. A huge thank you to the schools for their support. Thanks to Scoil Ursula Blackrock, Beaumont Girls National School, Beaumont BNS, Ballintemple National School, Scoil na Croise Naofa, Gaelscoil Mhachan, St Michael’s Church of Ireland National School & Eglantine National School.
